On December 13th Bishop Paul Hendricks officially welcomed Father Richard as new Parish priest at the Precious Blood Church in the Borough. Fr Richard moved into the parish with Brother Lewis and Brother Tom. The parish is connected to our house of formation for students to the priesthood.

The support from the parish has been very enthusiastic, and Bishop Paul sent a letter of thanks for the great work being done in the parish. The first task Father Richard undertook on arriving in the parish was the refurbishment of the parish social rooms, enabling the parish to have a space for social activity and also a place where mass can be held daily. These rooms were used to full capacity on the day, refreshments and cake were served after the Mass. The parish community gave their new parish priest a very warm welcome.
